The Celts Life and Times in Iron Age Europe (Audible Audio Edition) Ray Abel Samuel Pehling Books
Mr Abel makes several statements which go against common sense ,such as the Celts never road horseback but always used chariots because they could be used in any terrain. Hah! He also..States both men and women were allowed as many lovers as they wanted, despite the fact this goes against Brehon Law. Nowhere does he give a single source for any of his preposterous conclusions, neither by footnote or a list of resources at the book's end.

The Celts Life and Times in Iron Age Europe (Audible Audio Edition) Ray Abel Samuel Pehling Books Reviews
This is a good summary. It's well written and to the point.
Informative
Not what I was looking for. I hate having to do surveys and reviews. This is not enjoyable. Thankfully I'm done.
Informative but short and would have preferred a longer explanation but is good for what it is.
As I read this I found myself constantly referring to other sources to verify, or more often disprove claims made in the text.
As the author noted the 'celts', not a term they ever used, didn't record much if any of their own history.
While an interesting and well written read. I would not regard this as valid source material for any serious research into the culture.
Be aware, this is a child's book. and a bad one at that. There are no sketches, photos nor charts and the book is only 41 pages long. It appears as though it was written in a hurry with no sources or bibliography. The print is large with large spaces between paragraphs. As though he author was trying to fill up space, or his self publishing software committed suicide. Of the 41 pages, 11 are filled with Celtic/Welsh deities. Hardly the stuff of a child's book. And, the author felt it necessary to include a full page disclaimer saying, essentially, he was not responsible for what was written. I wonder why.
Look else where for books on the Celts. This book is a waste of money and space.
Very interesting historic book. A lot of the times celts are overlooked because of the other, greater empires in that period. But they shouldn't be. They were very interesting group and their heritage is live even these days. It was very interestin to learn, that main problem for the celts were that they never had a leader and weren't able to unite themselves. Celts were a nation of warriors which was facinating but led to their extinction too. Would have liked that in a chapter about gods, would have been explained what type of gods they are, not just listed god names.
